1st Annual Halloween Trunk or Treat Event

I would like to thank a few people who helped me get through the tough times. It meant a lot to me, and I would like to thank Rob, my physical therapist who helped me walk again and stand which I thought I never would do and to Haley, my occupational therapist, who helped me out to teach me to stand and walk again. They are two wonderful people who meant a lot to me. Thank God for them. I'll never forget the two of you. You were my angels.I would also like to say thank you to the wonderful staff. Alyssa who was kind to me, and the rest of the staff. I would also like to thank the nurses who were so kind to me, especially Kim. She was my angel. Libbie, April, Amara, Ami, and Barb. I would also like to thank the CNA's Krista, Vera, Stacy, Jay, Jade, Jennifer, Jill, and Zanetta. You were all terrific. I would also like to thank Carol and Kelly, the two ladies who do the discharges. They were just wonderful. I would also like to thank the wound care nurse who took such good care of me. I would like to also thank Tom, for being so nice. He always had a smile. Thank you.

Today, Michael F. graduated from a 15 month stay at MediLodge of Shoreline! The staff and his family are so proud of the monumental success he had while with us. He got a shave and a haircut to go home and everyone was so shocked to see his beaming smile!His wife, Debby, explains: "In July of 2021, my husband was soooo sick. I had no idea how bad his feet were because he always wears his socks. One time he fell, and dragged himself from the other room back to bed. His socks were so wet. I took them off and was astounded at how infected his feet were. He didn’t want to go to the hospital, but I eventually took him. After he was admitted to MediLodge of Shoreline, they began to work with him. Unfortunately, he had to have a toe removed due to the damage the infection caused. He was so out of it. He didn’t know who he was, or where he was. We were not sure if he was even going to make it or not. After going back and forth to the hospital for a bit, he started to clear up and not be so confused. Therapy started working with him again and he was motivated to do well so he could eventually return home. He got stronger and stronger. Recently, the Therapy Department showed me how he could walk with a walker, go up and down stairs, go to the bathroom on his own, and dress himself. I was so excited to see that I could bring him home to us, and we could get back to living our lives together again. We put bars in the shower and got all of the equipment he needs to be successful at home. Although he enjoyed his time here and made many friends, he is excited to get home again. I worked at another nursing home, but I would very much recommend MediLodge of Shoreline for their wonderful staff. They worked hard with my husband to bring him back home to us stronger and healthier. The staff is very welcoming and caring! In fact, I am planning to come and volunteer here once I get Michael all settled in at home."

I have come so far from the beginning. From my very first day until my very last day. Physical therapy has helped me in so many ways, they helped my tremors get so much better compared to before. Whereas before I couldn’t even hold my head up now I can. I can walk, eat, and talk so much better on my own. I can now better communicate with other people. The nurses have been very professional and kind hearted at all times. The administrative personnel has also been very helpful and kind to me. I have grown very close to everyone and I will truly miss a lot of the people here. The nurses’ aides have been helpful and I am glad to have had the opportunity to come to Medilodge because I am now able to be independent. I would like thank everyone at Medilodge for going above and beyond my expectations at all times.

To the staff at MediLodge of Shoreline, We want to thank everyone at MediLodge of Shoreline for your care and service to our beloved mom and grandma, Yan Rong. From the first day she came into your care, she was treated with grace, kindness, love, and dignity. The entire staff is just wonderful. They always had a warm smile and generosity. We as a family couldn't ask for more.
